Robots do not age they become outdated: in “Artificial Paradises” by Pedro Pablo Picazo (2nd prize 1st edition of Teatronika) a robot is assigned a mission, to perform the equivalent of human euthanasia to another outdated robot. The operation takes place during a conversation filled with philosophical questions about human techniques to make the trip to the other side more pleasant. The skeptical R2000 asks for the paradises available, for the paradises built by humans and the artificial ones. The outcome has an unexpected turn. Below the first page as it appears in the book.
